Be a UFO Hunter: 11 Ways to Spot a UFO

There are many mysteries in this world: Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the abominable snowman. None of these are as popular as UFOs though. Recorded evidence to support their existence are so overwhelming that even the US government had admitted at one point that these unusual things are actually out there. Their official statement made it clear though that they didn’t find them a threat to national security. But don’t take their word for it. If you want to know the truth about UFOs, you should hunt them down yourself. You better get started!

1. Do Some Stargazing
Most UFO sightings happen at night when sunlight does not flood the sky, so do some stargazing. The great thing about this is that even if you don’t get to see a UFO, you can relax under the beautiful starry sky.
2. Look Out for Daylight Discs
UFOs can be seen day or night. Your regular nighttime UFOs are called nocturnal lights while daytime UFOs are called daylight discs. Most nocturnal lights are self-illuminating while most daylight discs are metallic in color. So while you’re walking down the street, look up at the clouds. You may just spot a sparkling daylight disc zipping across the sky.

3. Don’t Mistake Venus for a Martian Spaceship
The night sky is peppered with constellations, planets, and occasional meteors. If you don’t familiarize yourself with it, you’re bound to mistake a star for a UFO. Obtain star charts from the Internet and visit your local planetarium to know which lights are supposed to be there and which should not. This way, you won’t get overexcited when you see blue and red lights twinkling in the sky, and shout out to the neighborhood that an invasion is coming.

4. Volunteer to Become a Weather Spotter
Anything that can help you develop your observation skills is a plus. You’ll get plenty of training in meteorology as a weather spotter. You will learn to identify all kinds of anomalous weather phenomena. Not only will you have more opportunities to see a UFO hiding in fluffy cumulus clouds, but you will get to serve your community as well.
5. Join a Bird Watcher’s Club
Joining a bird watcher’s club is more fun than being a weather spotter, but you get about the same amount of time watching the skies. Don’t tell your club buddies though that you’re in it just for the UFOs.
6. Learn Which is Man-Made and Which is Alien
If you live in the US, the perfect way to do this is to join the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). During the Cold War, CAP volunteers were taught to identify the configurations of different kinds of aircraft. Today, CAP has lessened that kind of training, but they still teach their members some cool observation skills.
7. Go to UFO “Flap” Areas
Researchers have found out that UFOs can be seen in waves of “flaps” that happen every few years. Flaps are generally confined to specific geographic locations and last from several days to a couple of weeks. Travel to these places to increase your chances of spotting a UFO.
8. Pack Your UFO Hunter Bag
Wherever you choose to hunt UFO, make sure that your UFO hunter bag is packed with the right gadgets: a video camera, a telescope, binoculars, star charts, maps, and a laptop for some quick Internet research. For more serious UFO hunters and investigators, night vision and thermal-imaging equipment will also help you search for UFOs and make you look good too.
9. Avoid Densely Populated Areas
It’s not advisable to hunt for UFOs in densely populated areas. The noise may interfere with your concentration and the smog above may also reduce visibility at night. In contrast, you’ll have more peace of mind observing the sky in a sparsely populated area. Absence of light from other sources also makes everything clearer.
10. Don’t Try Too Hard
Accept the fact that you many not be able to see a UFO your whole life. Many people have investigated UFOs for decades, but they are nowhere near solving these UFO mysteries as you are. Don’t try too hard. If you feel too sleepy to watch the skies, postpone your stargazing session for tomorrow. After all, you won’t be able to see any UFO with those droopy eyes.
11. Can’t Spot a Live One? Spot a Recorded One
Hundreds of thousands of hours of film have captured the sky, both at nighttime and daytime. If you really want to see a UFO, go through some of these videos, especially the ones where the sky is always shown. The “rod,” an insect-like UFO, is being investigated by researchers this way. It has appeared in many videos, including one where it appeared near a tornado without minding its powerful winds at all.
UFOs reportedly cause all kinds of strange complications to people when they’re nearby, including: fatigue, headaches, skin burns, and even leukemia. In the very rare chance that you get too lucky and you find yourself too near a UFO, run away from it as fast as you can. Abduction is always a risk in UFO hunting.

The Haunted Henryton State Hospital

by
Henryton State Hospital, located in an isolated section of Patapsco Valley State Park, on Henryton Road, in a dis-remembered part of the Eldersburg region. Instituted in-the beginning of the early-1920s, Henryton was inaugurated for two diverse reasons: the nursing of black patients writhe with tuberculosis, and the instruction and treatment of mentally ill adults. Henryton then changed from taking care of those ill with tuberculosis in 1963, and shut their doors in 1985.

Finding information on the history of Henryton is difficult. This very dilemma is what adds to its mystique and declaration of haunting experiences. There are those who have tried in vain and have only been met with a stonewall. For instance, the Maryland Department of General Services, who today retains the building, and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene were contacted; but mysteriously have no information concerning the history of Henryton. In addition, the Carroll Country Department of Mental Health was not capable of supplying any data on the hospital. Additionally, there are extremely minute amounts of printed documentation of Henryton. There is only one photograph and a few words mentioned about Henryton Hospital in any of the Carroll Country Public Library's and no accounts in any-of the Sykesville history manuscripts.
In spite of the lack of documented on fact information, the haunting of Henryton Hospital is well known. Henryton is included on various websites, and labeled as a haunted locality in Maryland. Various websites like theshadowlands.net and others allege that "observers had sightings of shadows in an aged theatre and a dress dangling at the bottom of a lengthy passageway." Apart from whether Henryton is really haunted, the fascination of the prospects of ghost and all sorts of paranormal activity going on inside the rooms and hallways is too much for some people to ignore.

For example, a graduate from the Liberty High School, Scott Lowe, stated that "Henryton is a major part of the high school ethos. Many people go to Henryton during their spare time to get away from their parents." He went on to say that "Henryton was a go-around for those who want to be a bit revolutionary." In fact, Lowe himself has ventured to Henryton on various junctures, and thinks that the belief that Henryton is haunted is unquestionably a captivating component and a motive for people to make a visit there.

In order to get to Henryton Hospital, you have to park near the railroad tracks and enter from the rear. It is not advisable to go by way of the front gate, as some deem it to be too hazardous. Onlookers have claimed to have seen shadows and various items throughout the buildings, and upon returning to the same spot, those very items had disappeared. There are literally hundreds of rooms with doors that give the impression that there are-many secrets to be discovered behind them. The corridors have all been abandoned leaving the impression that it was never occupied before, however, that though is dispelled by the eerie feeling that many unpleasant happenings took place there and at any moment those very incidents will be revealed.

Another incident took place when a group of paranormal adventurer's walked curiously around the children's-building, and had several out of the ordinary experiences. Whilst taking a look around the first floor, right after a metal-stairway that went up to the second-floor, someone felt like something tapped them on their back. Immediately afterwards, there was the sound of distinguishing footsteps pacing creakingly up the metal-stairs. When a sizeable room was entered there was a feeling of overpowering grief and sorrow. There was the sound of a woman weeping, searching for her child. It was confirmed that that room had at one-time been the nursery.

On the exterior of one-of the buildings positioned on a hill, observers noticed a rocking chair, moving back and forth on a porch as if someone-was sitting there. It kind of reminds one of the movie "Psycho" without the blood curdling killings and horrifying suspense. However, according to many who have visited Henryton, you will undergo nearly the same experience of a suspenseful, fear-provoking, and spellbinding encounter, if not in reality; then in the realms of the mind for sure.

Misteri Jam 12 (MJ12) - 25 July 2012

Misteri Jam 12 (MJ12) - 24 July 2012

Kuntilanak di Pohon Cery

Published under ,

Hallo nama saya Tomy. Saya mau cerita tentang pengalaman istri saya. Kejadian ini terjadi tepatnya tanggal 3 April 2012. Langsung aja ya..

Begini ceritanya, malam itu sekitar jam 20.30 WIB istri saya lagi merebus mie di dapur. Kebetulan rumah kami belum direnovasi, jadi antara ruang tengah dan dapur hanya berjarak sekitar dua meteran.

Lagi asyik-asyik nonton OVJ tiba-tiba saya dikagetkan dengan teriakan istri. Spontan saya bangun dan menghampiri istri saya. Disitu saya mendapati istri saya berdiri tanpa bergerak dan kelihatan gemetaran, wajahnya pucat.

Saya bingung, kemudian saya tanya "Ada apa ma?". Istri saya tetep diam.

10 Weird Places Around the World

10 Weird Places Around the World | The Earth is a miracle. Places that were hidden have been finding their way into the eyes of the world. Traveling isn’t always a possibility for everyone, thus the internet gives a picture view into the places we can’t physically visit, and opens up our very own eyes to make us realize how beautiful our planet is. This list looks at some of the most weird areas around the world. The list includes natural places and those created by mankind.

1. Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey. The city contains hot springs and travertiness, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. It is located in Turkey’s Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley, which has a temperate climate for most of the year.
2. Beppu is a tourist town sandwiched between the sea and the mountains. The city was founded on April 1, 1924, and is famous for its onsen (hot springs). Beppu contains nine major geothermal hot spots, which are sometimes referred to as the “nine hells of Beppu”. Seven of these are located in the Kannawa district, and two in the more remote Shibaseki district. Beppu is also divided into eight major hot spring areas known as Beppu Hattō.

3. The San Qing Mountain had been classified as a national park (Guojiaji Fengjing Mingshengqu, National Park of China). It is a famous honeypot in mainland China as well as a shelter for animals and plants. It contains about 1000 species of flora and 800 types of fauna. The total area of the San Qing Mountain is 2200 km². It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.

4. The Plain of Jars, Lao, is a megalithic archaeological landscape in Laos. Scattered in the landscape of the Xieng Khouang plateau, Xieng Khouang, Lao PDR, are thousands of megalithic jars. These stone jars appear in clusters, ranging from a single or a few to several hundred jars at lower foothills surrounding the central plain and upland valleys.

5. Spotted Lake is a saline endorheic alkali lake located northwest of Osoovos in British Columbia. Most of the water in the lake evaporates over the summer, leaving behind all the minerals. Large “spots” on the lake appear and depending on the mineral composition at the time, the spots will be different colors. The spots are made mainly of magnesium sulfate, which crystallizes in the summer. In the summer only the minerals in the lake remain, and they harden to form natural “walkways” around and between the spots.

6. The Rio Tinto runs from the Sierra Moreno Mountains down to the Gulf of Cádiz in Huelva, Spain. Rio Tinto translates into red river and this is exactly how the river appears. High levels of iron in the water cause the red coloring of the river. The river has been mined for copper, gold and silver from ancient times, and continues as of today. The Rio Tinto has the oldest mines in the world, which are believed to be the fabled King Solomon’s mines.

7. Fly Geyser, also known as Fly Ranch Geyser is a small geothermal geyser that is located approximately 20 miles (32 km) north of Gerlach, in Nevada. It is large enough to be seen from the road. Fly Geyser is a very little known tourist attraction, even to Nevada residents. It is located right near the edge of Fly Reservoir and is only about 5 feet (1.5 m) high, (12 feet (3.7 m) if you count the mound on which it sits). The Geyser is not an entirely natural phenomenon, and was accidentally created in 1916 during the drilling of a well.

8. Vale Da Lua is a set of rock formations carved in the rocks by the rapids of clear waters of the river San Miguel. It is outside the National Park Serra da Boa Vista, in a valley that becomes very dangerous during the rainy season due to sudden downpours. The name comes from the Valley of the Moon that resemble a landscape looks lunar, with small craters dug by the friction of the sand carried by the water with the rocks in the corners where the rapids are stronger, giving rise to small eddies and funnels.

9. Charamel Falls and the Coloured Earth is part of an archipelago formed from a now dormant undersea volcano. Mauritius is home to two natural wonders. The first is Chamarel Falls, which are three thin waterfalls that fall about 300 ft. down a plateau. They are the tallest waterfalls in Mauritius. Mauritius was once known only for its waterfalls, then in the 1960s, the colored dunes were discovered. The colored sand was created from clay made of lava cooling off at different times. The effect caused the 7 different colors of sand to form; they include red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow. The most unique aspect of the sands is the fact that if you take all the colors and mix them together, they will naturally separate and rejoin the correct color grouping that they belong to.

10. Caño Cristales is a Colombian river located in the Serrania de la Macarena, province of Meta. The river is commonly called “The River of Five Colors,” “The Liquid Rainbow” or even “The Most Beautiful River in the World” due to the algae produced colors like red, yellow, green and blue at the bottom of the river giving it a unique appearance.

Top 10 Most Haunted Bridges in Illinois

Sometimes perilous and almost always remote, rural bridges have long been a staple of local ghostlore. They are places where ghosts of long-forgotten accidents still roam and phantom voices cry out from the water below. At the Legends and Lore of Illinois, we have visited allegedly haunted bridges all over the State of Illinois, but which one will prove to be the most haunted?
10. Old Train Bridge
Schuyler County, IL
This isolated wooden bridge over the railroad tracks in rural Schuyler County is rumored to be the home of a phantom train. Locals claim that if you stand on the bridge at night, the bridge will begin to shake and you will hear a train whistle, but no train will ever arrive. Another story, common to many rural railroad bridges, is that a bus filled with children plummeted off the bridge, killing all aboard. Now the ghosts of the children can be seen darting in and out of the nearby woods. Two men in particular heard the sound of children crying while they were exploring the area.
9. 400th Avenue Bridge
New Holland, IL
The 400th Avenue bridge crosses Sugar Creek just north of Pool Hill Cemetery. According to local lore, the area is a supernatural hotspot and was the scene of lynching in the distant past. Visitors occasionally hear whispering, talking, rattling chains, and screams as if the lynchings were being repeated over and over again. Even the nearby fields are not immune from this macabre auditory replay. Also, if you lay your hand on the tree where the hangings occurred, it is said that you will witness the events. Today, not much remains of the cemetery that overlooks the bridge, and the tree has been cut down.
8. Witch’s Bridge
Clarksdale, IL
For many years, a small stone cabin with a long, brick chimney stood along the road near a bridge not too far from Anderson Cemetery. It was rumored to be guarded by a zombie dog, and to be the home of a family of murdering thieves. According to local paranormal investigator Larry Wilson, “Supposedly a man, his wife and their children lived in the cabin. Legend is the man killed his family then hung himself on the bridge nearby. It was rumored that if you went into the back room of the cabin no matter how cold it was it would become very warm.” Others have said that a girl (or witch) was hung from the steel bridge past the cabin. Spook lights are sometimes seen floating around the creek under the bridge. The cabin has since been relocated to Rochester, Illinois near a city park.
7. Love Ford Bridge
Falmouth, IL
The area around Love Ford Bridge is home to several notorious places, not the least of which is Happy Holler, a bar and sound stage popular with bikers, truckers, and hunters. Just across the road, at the top of a hill derogatorily named after the African Americans thought to be buried there, sits Higgins (Coburn) Cemetery. Strange lights and sounds have been encountered near the cemetery, and it is rumored to be the site of animal sacrifice and Devil worship. Love Ford Bridge is believed to be haunted by the ghost of an inebriated young man who jumped into the Embarras River and drowned. One eyewitness who spoke to authors Chad Lewis and Terry Fisk claimed that he heard the sound of splashing and laughing coming from the river near the bridge. Thinking that was strange because of the cold weather, he went to investigate and saw “several ghostly figures floating in the water.”
6. Lakey’s Creek Bridge
McLeansboro, IL
The headless horseman of Lakey’s Creek is quite possibly one of the oldest ghost stories in Illinois. Long before a concrete bridge spanned the shallow creek 1.5 miles east of McLeansboro, a frontiersman named Lakey attempted to erect his log cabin near a ford along the wagon trail to Mt. Vernon. One morning, a lone traveler stumbled upon Lakey’s body. Lakey’s head had been severed by his own axe, which was left at the scene. According to legend, his murderer was never found. For decades after the murder, travelers reported being chased by a headless horseman that rode out of the woods along Lakey’s Creek. “Always the rider, on a large black horse, joined travelers approaching the stream from the east, and always on the downstream side,” John Allen wrote. “Each time and just before reaching the center of the creek, the mistlike figure would turn downstream and disappear.” The headless horseman has been seen much less frequently in recent years.

5. Airtight Bridge
Coles County, IL
Designed by Claude L. James and built in 1914, Airtight Bridge spans the narrow Embarras River in rural Coles County and was long known as a drinking spot and a hangout for rough characters. That all changed on the pleasant Sunday morning of October 19, 1980. According to newspaper reports, two men from rural Urbana spotted the body of a nude woman about 50 feet from the bridge as they drove past. The body was missing its head, hands, and feet. After an extensive murder investigation, no killer was ever located and the identity of the victim remained a mystery for years. Ever since then, an aura of mystery has surrounded the bridge. Locals say it earned the name “Airtight” because of the unnatural stillness encountered while crossing it, or because early automobiles would stall on the steep hill leading to the bridge if there was more air than gas in their fuel tank.
4. Crybaby Bridge
Monmouth, IL
The “Crybaby Bridge” is a common folklore motif in the Midwest, and although the bridges may be different, their stories are very similar. One concerns a young mother who drowned her unwanted child in the river under the bridge, and the infant’s cries can still be heard. Another common story is that a bus or van full of children drove off the bridge, killing everyone inside. Now, if you put your car in neutral while on the bridge, invisible hands will push you safely to the other side. Both of these legends are associated with a steel, graffiti-covered bridge in rural Warren County. One tale particular to this location involves a speeding car full of impetuous youths who struck and killed a fisherman as he cast a line into the creek. Additionally, several people have claimed to hear a baby crying near this bridge.
3. Axeman’s Bridge
Crete, IL
There’s nothing unusual about the concrete bridge over Plum Creek along Old Post Road. In the woods to the northeast, however, sits a rickety steel bridge, currently collapsed into the water. It is tagged with graffiti. For years, local teens imagined that this was the scene of a gruesome axe murder. Some said the Axeman (or Ax-Man) killed a group of kids he caught trespassing on his property. Others tied the tale to the abandoned house nearby, claiming that the man had chopped up his family and then murdered two police officers who came to investigate. When backup arrived, they chased the man to the old steel bridge, where they shot him dead. Today, there are still remains of a house scattered in the woods.
2. The Bridges of Blood’s Point
Cherry Valley, IL
A cornucopia of urban legends have attached themselves to this hair-raisingly-named rural avenue, its neighboring bridges, and the cemetery of the same name. Along the road, visitors have reported seeing phantom vehicles and a dog with glowing red eyes. According to legend, the railroad bridge was the scene of a deadly school bus accident, as well as more than one hanging. These hangings have also been attributed to an older wooden bridge along nearby Sweeny Road. In one gruesome story, a van full of children coming back from a birthday party spun out of control and plummeted off the side of the bridge. The driver, who was wearing a clown suit, can still sometimes be seen clawing his way back onto the road. The cemetery at the end of the road is said to be visited by a wide variety of phenomenon—from orbs, to a phantom dog, to a vanishing barn, to the disembodied laughter of children and electrical malfunctions. Blood’s Point was named after Arthur Blood, the first white settler of Flora Township. Some locals maintain that he brought a curse with him that remains to this day.

"Bila masa orang n ie keluar, tak nampak pun," kataku sendirian. Puas aku cuba memejamkan mata, tetapi gagal. Dalam kegelisahan begitu, tiba tiba aku terpandang sesuatu diluar tingkap. Aku ternampak kepala orang yang sedang memerhatikan. Rambutnya putih, kusut masai keparas bahu, mukanya hodoh, terkopek kopek dan berdarah. Matanya sayu termasuk kedalam. Akau benar benar terpukau. Mataku tidak berkelip memandangnya. Darahku berderau, naik ke muka, jantungku berdebar debar. Bulu romaku berdiri tegak dan tubuhku terasa seram sejuk. Mulutku seolah olah terkunci untuk berkata kata. Hatiku merayu..."Ya allah.
