Classical Vortex

This ghost photo was sent by Samantha Farrow of thymeforsaffron@yahoo.com.
Samantha said, "I was rummaging through a crate of pictures the other day, when I found these pictures. The while bends of light look similiar to some on your page, so I was wondering if you think these might really be photos of vortexes. The others were taken one summer in Pocohontas, WV -- an old, mostly abandoned, 'coal-mining' town that's almost in complete decay now. I went to photograph the abandoned building, shops, and houses -- most very, very strange and creepy within and without."
Dr. Dave's Notes:
Notice the classical shape of this vortex -- it is wider at the top and smaller at the bottom as it moves away from the lens. This resembles the very first vortex Sharon captured back in 1996 and became our first photo posted on our web site.
